"Independent work" simply means for your child to complete the page with the least amount of "help" from the parent. Read the directions to your child and give any clarification they may require to complete the work on their own. Independent work is designed to reinforce what is being learned in class. Your child will be exposed to the curriculum prior to getting the work pages so the concepts should be familiar to them. The amount of work should not be overwhelming for your child. The number of pages to complete can be done a little each day, before the weekend, throughout the weekend, or however you prefer depending on your family schedule.
Print out all pages, then allow your child to choose which papers they would like to complete (no more then 3-4 per day). Have all pages completed to return as a packet on Tuesday and receive a special sticker :)
